1 West Quay

1 West Quay is a 1-bedroom apartment on Looe's west bank, 200 metres from East Looe Beach and the footbridge into the town. It sleeps 2 in a king-size bed and has one bathroom.

Large windows front the harbour side of the apartment, bringing in natural light and framing views of the water from both the living room and bedroom. There's WiFi and off-road parking included. The flat is on the first floor, up one flight of stairs, and the kitchen has a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. No washing machine or dishwasher, so it suits short breaks rather than longer stays.

The harbour and seafood market are a few minutes' walk from the front door, along with fish restaurants and independent shops in Looe's narrow streets. Hannafore Beach is about 900 metres west along the waterfront, and Plaidy Beach - a dog-friendly sand-and-shingle cove - is just over a mile. The fishing village of Polperro is 4 miles along the coast path. Dogs are not accepted.

Best for: couples wanting a central waterfront base with harbour views and no need for a car - East Looe Beach, restaurants, and the quayside are all within walking distance. Less good for: families or longer stays - the apartment is compact with one bedroom and limited laundry facilities.
