Jemima Cottage

Jemima Cottage is a one-bedroom fisherman's cottage on a pedestrianised lane in the heart of East Looe, on the south Cornwall coast. It sleeps two and works well for couples looking for a compact, central base within walking distance of both the harbour and the beach.

Inside, the cottage has a double bedroom, one bathroom, and a ground-floor layout set up with accessibility in mind. Wifi runs throughout. Dogs are welcome, which suits the South West Coast Path walks that start almost from the door - westward towards Talland Bay and east towards Plaidy and Millendreath.

East Looe's sandy beach - wide and flat at low tide - is a few minutes' walk away, along with the working harbour where boats land their catch. Banjo Pier sits at the river mouth. Shops, cafes, chip shops and pubs line the narrow streets between harbour and beach. A footbridge and small ferry link across to quieter West Looe.

Best for couples after a dog-friendly coastal retreat near Looe with easy access on foot. Less suited to guests who need a car base or need more than one bedroom. Polperro is around four miles along the coast; the Lost Gardens of Heligan are roughly 40 minutes by car.
