Pendeen sits on the exposed northwest coast between St Just and St Ives, close to some of Cornwall's most industrial heritage. Geevor Tin Mine - one of the last working mines in Cornwall before its closure in 1990 - is within walking distance of the cottage and open to visitors year-round. The mine's underground tours give a direct sense of what conditions were like for the men who worked it. Priests Cove, a rocky cove below Cape Cornwall, is 3.6km south.

Cape Cornwall itself is about 2 miles south - a small headland that was long thought to be the most westerly point of Britain before accurate surveying confirmed Land's End held that title. The walk along the coast path between them takes around 45 minutes. Gwynver Beach, a wild stretch of sand backed by dunes, is 6.8km. Sennen Cove, the surf and swimming beach near Land's End, is 8.5km.

This property is ideal for couples who want a remote, independent base on the far west coast with the comfort of a hot tub after a day on the coast path. The EV charger is a practical addition. Less good for guests who want easy access to shops and restaurants - Pendeen is a small village and St Just, 3 miles away, has the nearest range of facilities. Saturday changeover.
