Moorview Retreat

Moorview Retreat is a one-bedroom shepherd's hut near Bray Shop, a rural hamlet in East Cornwall surrounded by farmland and moorland edge. It sleeps two in a double bed, with a fire pit and countryside views beside a working farm keeping the stay compact and rural rather than cottage-scale.

The hut has one bathroom, and WiFi and parking are provided. Dogs are not accepted. A garden gives guests outside space around the hut, and the fire pit is the main evening focus since there is no wood burner or hot tub. Host Joanne manages the booking.

Twelve Men's Moor rises to the north, with open moorland walking and riding close by, and Callington, the nearest market town, is about three miles south-east. Launceston is roughly eight miles away for a wider range of shops, and Bodmin Moor is within easy reach to the west for longer walks and cycle routes.

The coast is a proper drive rather than a short trip: Downderry Beach is 15.2 miles away, Plaidy Beach 15.5 miles and Crackington Haven 15.7 miles. This is an inland base for guests happy to drive to the sea.

**Best for:** a couple wanting a quiet farm stay with a fire pit and easy access to Bodmin Moor and Twelve Men's Moor walking routes.

**Less good for:** guests prioritising coastal walks from the door, indoor fires, a hot tub or a dog-friendly stay.
