Mr Toad's Moonlight Retreat

Mr Toad's Moonlight Retreat is a shepherd's hut for two near Gooseham, a hamlet in Morwenstow parish about six miles north of Bude. It has one king size bed and one bathroom.

A hot tub set among trees, a wood burner, WiFi, parking, EV charging and a garden with barbecue are all included, and one dog can stay. The living and sleeping area has a wood burner and a TV, and the king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom are in the same compact hut. The kitchen has a gas hob, an electric oven and a fridge. The patio has outdoor seating and a BBQ, and there is an enclosed shared garden.

The South West Coast Path runs about two miles from the property, giving access to the cliffs around Morwenstow, where the Victorian vicar and poet Robert Stephen Hawker built his clifftop driftwood hut, now cared for by the National Trust. Duckpool Beach is 3.2 miles away, Sandymouth Beach 4 miles and Northcott Mouth Beach 4.8 miles, all reachable by car from this rural setting.

**Best for:** two guests wanting a woodland hot tub, wood burner, EV charging and a quiet North Cornwall base.

**Less good for:** guests wanting a coastal address within walking distance of the beach.
