The coastal path from Pendra Loweth leads to Maenporth Beach and Swanpool Beach, both about 0.9 miles away, with sea views along the way; Gyllyngvase is a further 1.3 miles toward Falmouth. Falmouth itself, home to the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, is roughly 2.5 miles from the cottage. Within Pendra Loweth, guests can use the on-site restaurant, bar, gym, tennis courts and children's play area, plus a seasonal indoor pool.

Best for families wanting a self-catering base with a playground and gym on the doorstep - a highchair is provided for young children - and for couples using it as a quiet stop between Falmouth and the Helford River. Less good for anyone hoping to bring a dog, since Mulberry Cottage does not accept pets, or for those wanting a private hot tub, as the only pool on site is shared and seasonal.
