Mullets

Mullets is a five-bedroom house in Rock for 12 guests, above Porthilly Cove with views across the Camel Estuary. The private garden reaches the shore, while the first-floor living space opens onto a paved balcony overlooking the water.

The reverse-level layout puts the kitchen, dining area and split-level lounge upstairs. A spiral staircase connects the floors, so stairs matter when choosing Mullets for a mixed-age group. Five bedrooms include a king, double, twin zip-and-link and two triple rooms, with alternative bed arrangements available on request. Four bathrooms include two en-suites.

The kitchen has an induction hob, electric oven and wine cooler, with a washing machine and tumble dryer for beach clothes. A play room has table tennis. A cot, highchair and stairgate can be requested; cot linen needs to come from home.

Outside, Mullets has a summer house, furnished terrace and charcoal barbecue. Private parking covers four cars. The 7kW Zappi EV charger costs £25 per vehicle per week and requires the guest's own lead. Up to two dogs are accepted, with additional charges possible.

Mullets suits a group of up to 12 wanting shore access and space to eat together. Guests unable to manage a spiral staircase should confirm the layout before booking. Coastal walks towards Daymer Bay depend on the tide.
