Museum Apartment

Museum Apartment is a two-bedroom cottage on Church Street in Looe, sleeping four with sea views. It's 100 metres from East Looe Beach.

Bedrooms hold a full bed and two twin beds that share one bathroom, and the living room has a sofa bed for extra sleeping space. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine, and wifi download speeds run up to 35Mb for streaming services. The building sits in a largely traffic-free part of town, so the sound from the street is mostly footsteps and gulls rather than cars. Dogs aren't accepted here, and there's no lift or step-free route to the door.

Hannafore Beach is an 800-metre walk around the point, with views over Looe Island, and Plaidy Beach follows a mile further on. The South West Coast Path starts three minutes from the door, running west through Talland Bay and Polperro towards Fowey, or inland to Woolly Monkey Sanctuary and the Eden Project. The passenger ferry across to Polruan connects onward to Fowey for a day trip.

Best for a small group or family who want to walk everywhere in Looe without a car. Less good for dog owners, or anyone needing step-free access to the apartment.
