Number Six The Creekside is a first-floor apartment in Looe for four guests, with a king-size room and a twin served by two bathrooms - useful when all four beds are in use. A balcony looks out over the estuary, though this is a river view rather than open sea.

East Looe Beach is 600 metres away, a sheltered stretch of sand behind the harbour walls. Plaidy Beach is 0.8 miles from the apartment and Hannafore Beach 0.9 miles, known locally for its rock pools. The town's harbour, shops and fish restaurants sit within easy walking distance, and Looe Island, a Cornwall Wildlife Trust nature reserve, is a short boat ride from the quay.

**Best for:** two couples or a family of four wanting two bathrooms, an estuary-view balcony and Looe's harbour and beaches within easy walking distance.

**Less good for:** dog owners, or anyone unable to manage stairs to a first-floor apartment.
