Oakdene

Oakdene is a detached three-bedroom bungalow set in rural countryside outside Marhamchurch, around four miles inland from Bude on the North Cornwall coast. It sleeps six across two double bedrooms and a room with 2'6" bunk beds, making it a workable option for a family group where children are happy in bunks.

Single-level living is the practical advantage here. The layout spreads the three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living area across one floor, and the property includes off-road parking. Outside, a large garden gives room for children to play and for families to eat outdoors in good weather.

The surrounding landscape is a patchwork of farmland and nature reserve. The old Bude Canal towpath passes nearby and gives a traffic-free route into Bude on foot or by bike, with cycle hire available locally at Whalesborough. Marhamchurch has a community shop stocking local produce; the neighbouring village of Bridgerule, just over a mile away, has a traditional country inn.

Four beaches sit within a five-mile drive: Widemouth Bay at 3.9 km, Summerleaze at 5.3 km, Crooklets at 5.8 km and Crackington Haven slightly further south. The less-visited coves at Sandymouth and Northcott Mouth are reachable on the coast path. Boscastle, Tintagel and Clovelly all sit within half an hour by car.
