Ottery House

Ottery House is a three-bedroom rural home for six in Boyton, a parish of farmland and woodland near the River Tamar and the Devon border. One bedroom has a king bed, and both twins can be made up as super kings on request, giving flexibility for families, friends or three couples travelling together. Two bathrooms serve the group.

A wood burner anchors the sitting room, with a garden and BBQ for outdoor meals. WiFi, parking, a dishwasher, washing machine and EV charging are all included, and up to two dogs can stay. Launceston, Cornwall's historic county town, is around four miles away, with its Norman castle, carved-granite parish church and heritage steam railway through the Kensey Valley.

This is an inland base rather than a coastal one: Millook Beach is 10.1 miles away, Widemouth Bay is 10.3 miles and Crackington Haven 11.2 miles, all reachable by car rather than on foot. Dartmoor is also suggested for a day out on the Devon side of the border, roughly the same distance in the other direction.

**Less good for:** Guests needing step-free access, spa facilities, sea views or beaches within walking distance.
