The Byre Home Farm

The Byre Home Farm is a three-bedroom barn conversion for six in Boyton, a rural parish near the River Tamar about 6 miles north of Launceston close to the Devon border. One super-king room, one king-size and one double give three beds for couples or family members, served by two bathrooms.

A private hot tub and wood burner cover evenings indoors and out, and an additional lounge gives guests space beyond the sociable kitchen. Wi-Fi, parking, a garden and barbecue are included, and up to two dogs can stay.

Boyton itself has no real village centre, just farms and scattered houses around the 14th-century church of the Holy Name, giving the setting a genuinely agricultural feel. Launceston, with its Norman castle and independent shops, is the nearest town for supplies, and the north Cornwall coast at Bude and Widemouth Bay is about a 20-minute drive.

Millook Beach is 11.4 miles away, known for its dramatically folded cliff strata rather than swimming. Widemouth Bay is 11.7 miles from the barn and Crackington Haven Beach 12.4 miles.

**Best for:** three couples or a family wanting a private hot tub, wood burner, extra lounge, garden and parking. **Less good for:** guests wanting nearby beaches or laundry.
