The Water Mill at Boyton Mill is a one-bedroom holiday home in a Grade II listed converted mill at Boyton, near Launceston in Cornwall. Wooden beams, slate flooring and feature fireplaces remain inside, and the gardens come with patio furniture and 21 acres of private land, which gives two dogs plenty of room.
It sleeps two, with one super-king-size bed. The bathroom has a bath with a hand-held shower, a separate walk-in shower, a basin and WC. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and cafetiere. The sitting room is on the first floor, a mezzanine-style space with a woodburning stove.
There is a Smart TV and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included, and parking is off-road. The pub is 1.8 miles away and the nearest shop 5.8 miles, so guests will want a car. Launceston has a Norman castle, and Bude is 19 miles from Launceston.
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. Bats are currently present at the property, and guests who are uneasy about that should ask before booking. It suits a couple who want space for dogs and are happy with stairs, and is less good for anyone wanting to reach the shops on foot.
