The Monkey Sanctuary at Murrayton, an unusual family day out, sits a few miles inland from the village.

Looe, with its working fish quay, independent shops, and restaurants, is around 3.7 miles west. Plymouth is roughly 30 minutes away across the Tamar Bridge.
