Parlour Cottage

Parlour Cottage sits within the Trewinnard Manor estate near St Erth, roughly 4 miles from Marazion and the same distance from Hayle. The two-bedroom ground-floor cottage sleeps four in an accessible layout, with an open fire in the sitting room and a south-facing garden.

Guests have shared use of the estate's heated outdoor swimming pool and a games room. The cottage has two bedrooms, one bathroom, parking, and a full kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. No hot tub or sea view, and dogs are not accepted. Changeover day is Friday.

Marazion is a short drive east, where St Michael's Mount sits just offshore connected to the mainland by a granite causeway at low tide - the National Trust charges a return ferry of around GBP2.50 when the causeway is submerged. St Ives is accessible from St Erth station, about a mile from the cottage, on the branch line that takes 11 minutes. Marazion Beach is 4.3 km away, and Perranuthnoe Beach 4.7 km.

Best for: families or two couples wanting an accessible base with shared pool facilities in west Cornwall, or anyone who needs a ground-floor layout. Less good for: guests expecting to walk to the beach or those travelling with dogs.
