Inside, the cottage covers two bedrooms, one bathroom and an open-plan living area with kitchen. The open fire heats the sitting room in cooler months. Wi-Fi runs throughout, and the kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher and washing machine. Dogs are welcome, and the accessible layout works for a wider range of guests.

The private garden has a lawn large enough for dogs and children to move around, with climbers trained up the cottage walls and the view dropping across Trenant's parkland to the valley below. Parking is included on site. Looe is two miles by road for the harbour, Hannafore Beach and the independent shops along Main Street. The South West Coast Path reaches Polperro from Looe for a full day's walking, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are about eight miles inland for a rainy-day alternative.

Best for couples or dog owners wanting a quiet rural base with easy access to the south coast. Less good for families of more than two who need the extra sleeping capacity.
