Penguin Apartment 2 sits on Crab Rock in St Ives, with the high tide lapping the rocks immediately below the windows. The first-floor layout sleeps 2 in a double bedroom, with an open-plan lounge and kitchen that looks directly across the harbour and bay. The lounge has a sofa area and a bistro-style dining table and chairs by the window, and a shower room completes the apartment.

Porthminster Beach is directly outside, with paddleboarding and kayaking hire available from the beach in season. St Ives Harbour Beach is 300 metres on foot, and Porthmeor Beach - the main surf beach - is 600 metres across the headland. The town centre, with its galleries, restaurants, and independent shops, is all on foot from the door.

St Ives centre is one of the few places in Cornwall where a car is genuinely unnecessary for a week's holiday - the beach, town, and South West Coast Path are all within minutes.

Dogs are not accepted. WiFi is included. Star rating is 2, which reflects the age and character of the building rather than the location or views.

Ideal for couples who want to be at the water's edge in St Ives without the noise of a hotel. Not great for families needing two bedrooms, or guests who require parking.
