Pennies From Heaven

Pennies From Heaven is a three-bedroom cottage on the Porthmeor side of St Ives, the harbour town whose Atlantic light has drawn an artists' colony since the 1880s. It sleeps 5 in one king-size room, one twin and one single, with two bathrooms. That distribution gives each guest a permanent bed without relying on a sofa bed. All three bedrooms are on the first floor with sea views and each has its own TV and DVD player. The two bathrooms open off the same landing, one with a bath and shower and the other a shower room.

The ground-floor lounge has sea views through a wide bay window. A separate dining room and utility room sit beside the kitchen, and Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and washing machine are included. The enclosed stone patio provides outdoor seating, and parking is available. Dogs are not accepted. The lounge sits around a period feature fireplace.

Porthmeor Beach and its surf school are 400 metres downhill, as is Tate St Ives. The distance matters for guests who may find the uphill return tiring.

Porthmeor Beach and St Ives Harbour Beach are each 400 metres away, while Porthminster Beach is 500 metres away.

**Best for:** a family wanting three bedrooms, sea views and central St Ives on foot.
