End-terrace cottage on Dunder Hill in Polzeath, sleeping 10 across five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The ground floor is arranged for accessibility, with level access throughout and no steps between rooms. A multi-fuel stove sits in the living room, and an enclosed garden to the rear gives the group outdoor space.

Inside there are five bedrooms spread across two floors, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, and Wi-Fi and parking included. No dogs. Four bathrooms mean a group of ten won't be queuing for a shower at peak summer. Eleven previous guests have left reviews via Sykes.

Polzeath Beach is a 500m walk - a wide, north-facing arc of sand popular with learner surfers, with board hire and a surf school on the beach. The village has two surf shops, a pub, and a Co-op within easy reach of the cottage. Greenaway Beach is 900m further along the coast, quieter and without the beach hire operations. Daymer Bay is 1.4km, a sheltered estuary beach on the Camel that suits paddleboards and young children. Friday changeover.

Best for: accessible family holidays and groups of ten who need multiple bathrooms within walking distance of a surf beach. Less good for: guests wanting peace and quiet - Polzeath is one of north Cornwall's more popular resorts and gets busy in July and August.
