Pine Haven

Pine Haven is a Canadian-log lodge in Little Petherick, a wooded hamlet on a tidal creek about 2 miles south of Padstow. It sleeps 6 in two king-size rooms and a twin, with two bathrooms for the group.

The apex-roofed building has an open-plan lounge with a stone fireplace and a first-floor mezzanine snug. A full-length deck overlooks an enclosed sloping garden, and two balconies add further outdoor viewpoints. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and washing machine are included, parking is provided, and up to two dogs are welcome. Host Thomas manages the booking.

Trevone Bay is 2.7 miles away, Harlyn Bay Beach is 3.3 miles and Daymer Bay Beach is 3.5 miles. Padstow is 3 miles on foot along the creek path, with access to the Camel Trail from there. The hamlet itself has no pub or shop, just the 14th-century church of St Petroc Minor beside the creek; the Little Petherick guide covers the wider area.

The mezzanine and sloping garden add character but may not suit guests who need level circulation, while the two king-size rooms and separate twin split easily between a family or two couples.

**Best for:** families wanting a log-built lodge, a separate snug and an enclosed garden near Padstow. **Less good for:** guests needing step-free access, an indoor fire beyond the lounge, or a beach within walking distance.
