Gunwalloe Church Cove is 1.2 miles, a narrow beach backed by a mediaeval church embedded in the dune system. Both are reachable on foot via the South West Coast Path, which runs along the Lizard's western edge here. Polurrian Beach, 1.6 miles away, is a more sheltered option.

The Lizard is the most southerly point of mainland Britain. The area has a particular character - the serpentine rock geology produces distinctive green cliffs, and Lizard Town itself is a small working community rather than a tourist village. Helston, with its Flambards theme park and swimming pool, is around 4.3 miles north.

The cottage suits a couple plus two children, or two couples who want their own bedrooms. The hot tub and fire make it viable in October and November when most visitors have gone. EV charging is rare in self-catering properties of this scale and removes a practical concern for electric-vehicle drivers in an area where public chargers are sparse.

Best for: couples or small families wanting a well-equipped base in a genuinely quiet part of South Cornwall. Suits guests who want to walk to different coves each day rather than return to the same beach. Not ideal for groups needing more than 2 bedrooms.
