Quay Cottage

Quay Cottage is a two-bedroom cottage on the central square in West Looe, with the harbour a few steps from the front door. Two bedrooms sleep two: a king-size room and a twin upstairs. Prices start from GBP528 per week on a Saturday changeover.

Inside, the lounge and dining room are arranged around comfortable sofas, a four-seater dining table and a wood-burning stove - suited to shoulder-season stays when Looe is quieter and the coast path is at its best. A galley kitchen leads through to a downstairs shower room and out to the courtyard. WiFi, a washing machine and accessible features are included throughout.

Outside, the private courtyard works for morning coffee or eating outside in summer. Dogs are welcome. The open fire alongside the wood-burner adds flexibility on cooler evenings. No car parking is attached to the property - central Looe has a pay-and-display car park a short walk from the square.

Cross the footbridge over the River Looe to reach East Looe with its wider choice of restaurants and the sandy Hannafore beach. The Banjo Pier is worth a walk. The South West Coast Path runs in both directions from the town, with the stretch west to Talland Bay particularly good in spring.

Best for couples who want a genuine town-centre position with harbour access and good out-of-season appeal. Less good for anyone who needs private parking or a quiet rural setting.
