Port Gaverne Beach, a small sheltered cove near Port Isaac on the north coast, is 5.4 miles away - roughly 15 minutes by car. Daymer Bay, a tidal estuary beach at Rock used for sailing and swimming, is 7.6 miles. Tregardock Beach - a remote, cliff-backed strand accessible only at low tide - is 6.8 miles. Bodmin Moor is accessible within 20 minutes to the east, with Brown Willy and the moorland reservoirs. Lanhydrock, a late-Victorian National Trust estate 3.1 miles south of Bodmin, is under 30 minutes from the cottage.

This cottage suits families or small groups who want a rural mid-Cornwall base with easy access to the Camel Trail and both north coast beaches and moorland walks.
