Robins Nest

One-bedroom cottage in the hamlet of Trenale, half a mile from Tintagel on the north Cornwall coast. Robins Nest sleeps two in a single-storey layout and shares a dog paddock with seven other cottages on the lane.

The single bedroom, bathroom and open living area sit on one level, with wifi and a washing machine fitted. Parking is beside the cottage. A pedestrian gate and four railed steps lead down to the patio garden.

Outside, the shared dog paddock gives a secure space to let dogs off-lead - useful given the coastal walks here mostly run along clifftops with stock grazing nearby. The cottage has its own garden too.

Tintagel village is a five-minute drive or a 15-minute walk along the lane, with shops, pubs, the footbridge to the castle and Merlin's Cave on the beach below. Trebarwith Strand for surf is a short drive south; Bossiney Cove drops to a sandy beach at low tide a 20-minute walk away. Boscastle harbour is 2.5 miles north, and Camelford has a swimming pool and supermarket.

Best for couples travelling with a dog who want a quiet lane. Less good for groups or families - the cottage is one bedroom and shares its outside space with neighbours.
