Rosehendra is a two-bedroom barn conversion in Rosevidney, a hamlet roughly two miles inland from Marazion, sleeping 4 with a single bathroom. The barn has been refurbished while keeping the character of the original building - the sitting room has both an open fire and a wood burner, and the conservatory extension provides a second dining space.

Outside, a wraparound garden with patio runs past both bedrooms, each of which has direct door access onto it. A BBQ is set up for summer evenings. The property is dog-friendly, with WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, and on-site parking included.

Marazion Beach and St Michael's Mount are 2.2 miles away - the causeway to the Mount is tidal and accessible on foot at low water, otherwise there are regular small ferries. Perranuthnoe Beach, a National Trust-backed cove with a clifftop cafe, is 2.9 miles east. St Ives, with the Tate gallery and the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, is a 20-minute drive north.

Best for: couples or a family of four wanting rural quiet with the Penwith coast within easy reach. Less good for: guests expecting to walk to the beach - the Rosevidney location is genuinely rural and a car is essential for daily use.
