Sally Port Cottage

Sally Port Cottage is a two-bedroom former keeper's cottage at St Anthony's Lighthouse, at the southern tip of the Roseland, sleeping four. The property sits below the working lighthouse in association with Trinity House - the lighthouse authority that has managed England's coastal lights since 1514. There is no public access to the site; once you're down the path, you have the headland to yourselves.

Access is via a 300-metre tarmac path that drops steeply from the headland car park. It is not suitable for those with limited mobility, and luggage needs to be carried. The observation room at the top of the cottage has large windows facing out across Falmouth Bay, with an electric stove-effect fire for evenings. Sea views are unobstructed on three sides.

Little Great Molunan beach is 0.4km from the cottage - a small, sheltered cove accessible on foot. St Mawes is 1.8km north by the coast path, with its castle, ferry to Falmouth, and a couple of decent harbour restaurants. The Hall Walk circular route from Fowey starts about 7 miles north on the other bank of the Fal.

Best for couples or families who specifically want remote, car-free seclusion and are comfortable with the steep access. Less good for those who need easy loading and unloading, frequent car trips, or step-free access.
