School Cottage

School Cottage is a two-bedroom dog-friendly cottage in Marazion, sleeping four with one bathroom. The cottage has sea views, a wood burner, and an open fire - an unusual combination that makes it worth considering outside the summer months. Marazion Beach, which faces St Michael's Mount across the shallow tidal bay, is 900 metres away on foot.

The garden is enclosed and suitable for dogs. Inside: wifi, dishwasher, and washing machine included. Two bedrooms and one bathroom work well for a couple with a dog and a child, or two adults who don't need separate bathrooms. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a king-size bed and the second has two single beds, next to a shower room with a walk-in double shower. You can unload bags outside the door, and street parking is about 100 metres away. Perranuthnoe Beach - a sandy cove with a cafe above the sea wall - is 1.3 miles south-west. Long Rock Beach is 1.7 miles east along the coastal path. Marazion itself has a handful of cafes and pubs; Penzance is about 3 miles west for supermarkets and a wider range of restaurants.

Best for couples or families with a dog who want sea views, an open fire, and a short walk to the beach. Less good for those who need more than one bathroom.
