The South West Coast Path passes through the town, and the route east toward Seaton and Downderry covers some of the most varied cliff scenery in south Cornwall.

Looe harbour has working fishing boats landing daily catches, with several seafood restaurants and fish-and-chip shops within 150m. The Looe Music Festival runs each October and draws around 5,000 visitors. Antony House, a National Trust property dating from the early 18th century, is 7 miles west by road.
