Sea Lock

Sea Lock is a ground-floor waterside apartment for four in Bude, overlooking the 19th-century Bude Canal that now carries kayaks and flat-water swimmers rather than cargo. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other a super-king that converts to twins on request, so the second room flexes for a couple or two children. The super-king room has an en-suite shower room and WC, and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath serves the king room.

Parking, a garden and a dishwasher are included. A washer/dryer is included. The kitchen has an electric oven, a combination microwave oven, an induction hob and a fridge/freezer. Two sets of double doors from the living area open onto an enclosed patio with garden furniture. Dogs are not accepted. The apartment sleeps four and has parking on site.

Summerleaze Beach, with its tidal sea pool, is 800m away, Crooklets Beach - the town's main surf beach - is 0.8 miles and Northcott Mouth is 1.7 miles from the apartment. Bude sits at the midpoint of more than 30 miles of the South West Coast Path, and the town's shops and cafes are also a short walk from the canal.

**Best for:** four guests wanting flexible king or twin sleeping, canal views, parking and Summerleaze Beach within a short walk. **Less good for:** guests needing step-free access.
