Readymoney Cove is 1.4km from the cottage - a small shingle-and-sand beach at the foot of the cliffs below St Catherine's Castle, which dates to the 16th century. Lantic Bay is 2.4km away by the coastal path, a longer walk that rewards with a wide bay and views across to the Dodman. Fowey harbour is walkable from Station Road in under 10 minutes, with water taxis crossing to Polruan and regular passenger ferries to Mevagissey.

The village has a strong independent food scene: Sam's on the Fowey, The King of Prussia, and several delis and bakeries sit within the harbour area. The Hall Walk circular route - roughly 6km - starts from the town quay.

Suits: couples wanting a comfortable, well-positioned village base in Fowey with good access to the harbour, coastal walks, and a nearby beach. Not great for guests needing a garden, washing machine, or room for more than 2 people - the cottage is compact and designed for two.
