Shearwater is a two-bedroom, dog-friendly cottage in Mullion village on the Lizard, sleeping 4 with 1 bathroom and a garden terrace for outdoor dining. The property sits within a leisure complex that gives guests access to a heated swimming pool, hot tub, and spa - facilities that make it a practical year-round choice even when the weather turns.

Polurrian Beach is 400m away on foot - a sand-and-rock cove below the cliffs that tends to be quieter than the main Lizard beaches in peak season. Mullion Cove, with its working harbour and AONB cliff scenery, is 900m from the door. Poldhu Cove, which has a National Trust car park and a long sandy beach, is 0.9 miles away.

The open-plan kitchen has an induction hob. WiFi and parking are included. No dishwasher. Changeover is Saturday. Guests are welcome to bring one dog.

Mullion village has two pubs, a post office, and a Co-op. The wider area - home to Kynance Cove some 5 miles to the south - gives walkers and wildlife-watchers a full week's content without revisiting the same ground.

Ideal for couples or small families who want access to leisure facilities alongside beach and coast path walking. Less good for groups needing two bathrooms or a large kitchen for group cooking.
