Shellseekers

Shellseekers is a detached bungalow in a quiet cul-de-sac in St Merryn, sleeping 5 across three bedrooms - one double, one twin, and one single - with a shared bathroom. An enclosed patio garden provides secure outdoor space, though dogs are not accepted. The village has a pub and a small shop within walking distance.

St Merryn's key advantage is its position at the centre of a cluster of beaches. Porthcothan Bay is 2.1 miles, Treyarnon Bay is 2.1 miles, and Harlyn Bay is 2.2 miles. Each has a different character - Porthcothan is quiet and family-oriented, Treyarnon has a tidal pool and surf conditions, and Harlyn is sheltered enough for young children when the Atlantic swell picks up on the more exposed beaches. Constantine Bay, another surf beach, is also within short driving distance.

Padstow is 5 miles north and takes about 10 minutes by car. The town has over 20 restaurants and cafés, a weekly Saturday market, and the Camel Trail departure point. Rick Stein's original seafood restaurant opened here in 1975 and the Stein group now operates seven sites in the town.

Good for families with children of mixed ages wanting flexible beach access across multiple bays. Less suited to those wanting to walk to the coast directly - a car is needed for all three nearby beaches. Amenities include wifi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine.
