Trebarwith Strand itself is closer, accessed from the valley floor: a sandy cove between slate cliffs that's popular in summer and has the Port William pub above the beach.

Tintagel village is roughly 2 miles north, with the English Heritage castle ruins, the Merlin's Cave cliff formation, and several cafes and shops. Bossiney Cove is 3.3km along the coast path, another secluded inlet.
