Sunset View sits inside the Widemouth Bay Surf Club complex, roughly 100 metres from the sand. It is a 1-bedroom apartment that sleeps 5 across a double bed in the studio-style main space and a twin room with a single and a bunk bed - a layout that suits a couple or small family with a young child more than two couples. There is 1 bathroom. Wifi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are included. It can also be booked together with another property for much larger groups.

Widemouth Bay is a wide, west-facing stretch of sand about 3 miles south of Bude. At low tide the beach runs for close to 2 miles, making it popular with surfers from beginner to intermediate level and with families who want room to spread out. The bay faces directly into Atlantic swells, so it holds waves year round. The coast path climbs the clifftops on both sides of the bay - the section north to Bude passes Upton and Sandy Mouth and takes around 90 minutes at a steady pace.

Bude town is a short drive north, with a canal, sea pool, surf hire shops, cafes, and a Saturday market. Millook Haven, a quieter shingle cove, is 0.9 miles south. The wider area suits those after active days on the water or coast path rather than a town-centre base.

Best for surfers, active families, and anyone wanting direct beach access without paying St Ives prices. Less good for two couples, as the double bed sits in the open-plan studio space rather than a separate room. Changeover is Friday.
