Atlantic Escape

Atlantic Escape is a single-storey, two-bedroom cottage within the Widemouth Bay Holiday Village on north Cornwall's Atlantic coast, sleeping four with sea views from the garden patio. Widemouth Bay beach - a half-mile stretch of sand with consistent surf, RNLI lifeguard cover from May to September, and rock pools at low tide - is about 0.5 miles from the property.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting area share one space. A double and a twin bedroom share a bathroom with bath and shower over. A TV is provided, and a coin-operated laundrette is available within the park. Two dogs are welcome on site, with a dedicated dog-walking area within the grounds.

On-site facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, an outdoor tennis court, a clubhouse with bar and restaurant, a games room with arcade machines and pool table, and outdoor play areas. Spa treatments are available at an additional charge. The Bay View Inn, serving food, is a short walk from the property.

Bude is about 3 miles north - a town with supermarkets, the Bude Canal towpath for flat cycling, a sea pool, and 4 beaches within walking distance of the centre. Millook beach, a quieter cove with rock falls and dramatic cliff geology, is about 1.5 miles south along the coast.

Best for: families with young children or dogs who want an activity-rich park base with surf beach access. Less good for: those seeking a quiet or independent holiday let away from shared facilities.
