Oak Cabin

Oak Cabin is a two-bedroom woodland lodge near Widemouth Bay, sleeping four in a ground-floor twin and an upstairs double, both looking out over open woodland. Balconies on each floor extend the living space outside, and a private wood-fired hot tub sits in the garden below.

The single shower room has a waterfall jacuzzi and body jets alongside the usual fittings. WiFi and a dishwasher are included, along with parking for two cars and a barbecue in the garden. There is no washing machine, so this suits a shorter break better than a full fortnight. Up to two dogs can stay, and host Robert manages the booking.

Widemouth Bay itself is 3.7 miles away, a broad, south-facing surf beach with seasonal lifeguard cover from May to September and a car park right behind the sand. Millook Beach is 4.2 miles from the lodge and Summerleaze Beach 5.4 miles, with Bude's shops and sea pool a further mile beyond that. The price starts from £587 per week.
