Marazion beach itself is 0.8 miles, with direct views across to St Michael's Mount. The Mount is accessible on foot across the tidal causeway at low tide, or by small passenger ferry when the causeway is covered. Eastern Green Beach lies 1.3 miles west.

The village has pubs, cafes, and a few independent shops. Penzance is 3 miles along the coast by road, giving access to a larger supermarket, the Jubilee Pool (an Art Deco lido on the seafront), and ferry and helicopter connections to the Isles of Scilly. The South West Coast Path runs directly through Marazion.

Good for those who want Mount's Bay views and a quiet Cornish town rather than a surf beach. Less good for surfers - the nearest quality surf is at Perranuthnoe, around 3 miles west. Saturday changeover.
