Sweet Merlin 6

Sweet Merlin 6 is a two-bedroom lodge for five on the banks of the River Lynher near Notter, a rural hamlet with easy A38 access. One bedroom has a double bed; the other is a triple room with bunks and an additional single. One bathroom serves all five guests.

A hot tub and an open fire are at the lodge itself. Shared on-site facilities include a heated outdoor pool, open from the end of May to early September, a tennis court, play areas and a stream for fishing. Wi-Fi, parking, EV charging and a dishwasher are included, and up to two dogs can stay; there is no washing machine, so this suits a shorter break.

Whitsand Bay is 6.1 miles away, Downderry Beach is 6.3 miles and Kingsand Beach is 7.5 miles. Looe is about 10 miles west along the A38 and B3253, and Cotehele, a National Trust medieval manor on the Tamar, is around 6 miles north. Adrenaline Quarry and the Eden Project are also within reach for day trips.

**Best for:** families wanting bunks, seasonal pool access, play facilities, a hot tub and EV charging in a rural east Cornwall setting. **Less good for:** guests wanting two bathrooms, a private pool, laundry facilities or step-free access.
