Talland 5

Talland 5 - also known as Porth Glas, meaning Blue Haven in Cornish - is the largest cottage on the Talland Bay estate, a 33-unit gated development on the south Cornwall coast between Looe and Polperro. Three bedrooms sleep up to eight, and the accessible single-floor layout makes it one of the more practical options on the estate for guests with mobility requirements. EV charging is included.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen and living area is designed for a group, with the master bedroom opening onto a private balcony. The master has an en-suite; the other two bedrooms share a family bathroom. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are all provided. Dogs are welcome.

A large south-facing patio with a private hot tub sits outside the front door. The estate's shared facilities run to a 12 by 6 metre indoor heated swimming pool, an outdoor naturally-filtered plunge pool open all year, a sauna, a small gym, and a concierge service for taxi and boat bookings. Talland Bay beach is a short walk downhill from the estate.

Polperro lies roughly a mile west along the South West Coast Path - a fishing village with a working harbour, independent restaurants, and lanes that are pedestrianised in summer. Looe is around two miles east, with a sandy beach and a passenger ferry crossing the river. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within a 45-minute drive. Best for families or groups wanting resort-style facilities on the coast. Less good for couples looking for something small or quiet.
