Tamarisk - Downderry

Tamarisk is a two-bedroom cottage for four in Downderry. The king size room is joined by a twin with zip-link beds that can form a super king when requested at booking. Four guests share one bathroom, a shower room with a double shower cubicle and a rainfall shower.

The decked balcony and conservatory both look towards the sea. A wood burner gives the living space a focal point in cooler weather, while WiFi, a dishwasher and washing machine cover routine needs. The cottage has a front garden with a decked seating area and a terraced area at the rear. Up to two dogs are accepted, though not on the rear terrace.

Downderry Beach is 300m away. It is a mix of shingle and sand, and the village also has a local pub and places to eat. Plaidy Beach is 3 miles from the cottage and East Looe Beach is 3.7 miles away, giving guests alternatives farther west along the coast.

A car is useful for reaching Looe and Polperro, and parking is on the street directly outside the cottage, subject to availability.

**Best for:** Four guests wanting sea views, a beach close by, flexible twin beds, a wood burner and up to two dogs.

**Less good for:** Guests needing step-free verified accommodation or two bathrooms.
