East Looe Beach is 200 metres from the front door, a three-minute walk through the town's narrow streets to a sandy tidal beach at the estuary mouth. Hannafore Beach is 1km to the west along the coastal footpath, a shingle-and-sand beach facing open sea. Plaidy Beach is 1.2km for a quieter option.

Looe's fishing harbour, shops, and a range of pubs and restaurants are all within a few minutes on foot. The Looe Valley Line train from Liskeard stops at Looe station, a useful connection if arriving by rail. There are 65 reviews from previous guests, one of the stronger review counts in the area.
