The Coach House

The Coach House is a 1-bedroom cottage at Trethin near Camelford, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom and a garden. It sits on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor - open moorland is within a short drive, and the north Atlantic coast is about 15 minutes by car.

Inside, the cottage has wi-fi and parking. There's no dishwasher or washing machine, but guests have access to a shared games room on the estate. A shared launderette is also available.

Tregardock Beach is roughly 4 miles west - a remote north-coast beach reached by a 15 to 20 minute walk down a steep path, with powerful surf and few crowds. Boscastle and Tintagel are around 15 minutes by car; Tintagel's castle ruins and Boscastle's harbour both make worthwhile half-day trips. Camelford itself has a pub, independent shops, and a weekly Friday market. Rough Tor and Brown Willy - Cornwall's two highest points - are accessible for moorland walking within a short drive south.

**Best for:** Walkers and couples wanting a quiet, affordable base for Bodmin Moor and the north coast without the premium of staying in a coastal village.
