The Cowshed

The Cowshed sits in Portscatho and sleeps eight in four bedrooms. The heart of the house is a large open-plan room with the kitchen, a dining area, a breakfast bar and a sitting area centred on a woodburning stove, with underfloor heating. The kitchen has a Smeg induction range oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a coffee maker, and there are four Smart TVs with Sky TV and Sports.

Two of the bedrooms are ground-floor doubles with en-suite walk-in showers, one of them with a TV. A mezzanine double also has a TV, and the fourth room is a twin. A ground-floor family bathroom has a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a travel cot and highchair are provided.

Outside are a patio dining area with a Weber barbecue, a seating area with a fire pit and sun loungers, and gardens. A large sports field has a football goal and outdoor games. The property has a 7kW electric car charge point and parking. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not allowed. Views take in St Mawes and the Lizard. The pub is 0.5 miles away, the shop is 0.7 miles, and Portscatho beach is close by, with the wider Roseland to explore.

The house is best for a large family or a group of friends who want a place to gather, and it suits dog owners. It is less good for anyone who finds steps difficult, because steps lead up to the property and inside it.
