The Fellery

The Fellery is a two-bedroom cottage in East Looe, sleeping 4 across a double and a twin bedroom. Rates start from £465 per week. One dog is welcome, and Saturday is the changeover day.

The lounge has an electric coal-effect fireplace - a useful focal point on cooler evenings - and the double bedroom has double-aspect windows. An allocated off-road parking space is included, a real advantage in a town where public car parks fill quickly through summer. There is no dishwasher. East Looe Beach is 900 metres on foot through the town centre - broad sand at high tide, exposed rock pools at low. Plaidy Beach, a quieter cove with its own car park, is 1.1km along the coast path and tends to be less crowded than the main town beach. The fish quay in Looe is a 10-to-15-minute walk, with boat trips to Looe Island - a Cornwall Wildlife Trust nature reserve 1 mile offshore where grey seals haul out - running Easter through September. Looe also has independent shops, cafés, and a branch-line rail link to Liskeard for those arriving without a car.

Best for couples or small families who want a compact fishing-town base with included parking, beach access under a mile, and a dog welcome. Less good for guests needing confirmed step-free access, a large open garden, or a rural retreat away from town.
