The Lookout

The Lookout is a 2-bedroom barn conversion on the edge of a quiet village near Whitsand Bay on the Rame Peninsula, sleeping 4, with 2 bathrooms. The property holds two king-size bedrooms, an enclosed garden, and a BBQ.

Inside, the barn conversion layout gives good ceiling height and character detail alongside a dishwasher and washing machine. Dogs are not accepted. Wi-Fi is included throughout. Four guests have two bathrooms between them, so no one has to queue.

The nearest section of Whitsand Bay - a south-facing, 3-mile stretch of Atlantic-facing sand popular with surfers and bodyboarders - is about 1.9 miles by road, with coast path access from the clifftops above. Kingsand and Cawsand, two of the most atmospheric fishing villages on the south Cornwall coast, are within a short drive to the east. Downderry Beach is roughly 3.2 miles west. Millbrook is the nearest town for shops; Plymouth is accessible via the Torpoint ferry roughly 20 minutes from the eastern end of the bay.

**Best for:** Couples and families wanting a base for exploring the quieter south Cornwall coast, walking the Rame Peninsula, or surfing Whitsand Bay.

**Less good for:** Those without a car - the Rame Peninsula has limited public transport, and most beaches and towns require driving.
