The Patio Flat

A ground-floor 1-bedroom flat in the hamlet of Warleggan, near St Neot on Bodmin Moor, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom. The Patio Flat sits within a larger property called The Rookery and has its own access, a patio, and use of the shared gardens - a useful arrangement for a rural setting where outdoor space matters. The flat is all on the ground floor and has a private entrance through the patio door.

Wi-Fi and parking are included. A washer/dryer is provided. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Friday changeover, with a minimum stay of 3 nights. The owner says the flat is only suitable for families with infants aged under 2.

St Neot is a small moorland village with a medieval church containing exceptional 15th and 16th century stained glass windows - one of the less visited but well-regarded historic interiors in Cornwall. Golitha Falls, a wooded National Nature Reserve with cascades on the River Fowey, is about 3 miles north - a short walk from the car park at the entrance. Bodmin Moor proper begins immediately to the north: Brown Willy (1,378 feet), Rough Tor, the Jamaica Inn at Bolventor, and the Hurlers stone circles near Minions are all within 15 miles. The south coast at Lansallos Beach and Fowey is roughly 11 miles south. Liskeard, with a mainline station, is about 8 miles south on the A38.

Best for couples who want moorland walking, dark skies, and a quiet rural base. Not a beach holiday - the nearest coast is 11 miles and requires a car. Guests who need step-free access should check with the owner before booking.
