Golitha Falls, a wooded National Nature Reserve with cascades on the River Fowey, is about 3 miles north - an accessible short walk with car parking at the entrance. Bodmin Moor proper begins immediately to the north: Brown Willy (1,378 feet), Rough Tor, the Jamaica Inn at Bolventor, and the Hurlers stone circles near Minions are all within 15 miles. The south coast at Lansallos Beach and Fowey is roughly 11 miles south. Liskeard, with a mainline station, is about 8 miles south on the A38.
