Duckpool Beach is 2.8km - a National Trust beach with dark sand, rock pools, and a stream that runs across the sand at low tide. Sandy Mouth Beach is 3.3km, another dog-friendly National Trust beach with a cafe in season. Bude's town beaches at Summerleaze and Crooklets are about 10km south and have consistent surf, a tidal pool, and more facilities.

Best for couples or small families who want a quiet rural base with accessible features and straightforward access to several National Trust beaches. Less suited to guests seeking a lively town location, as the nearest shops are a drive away.

Changeover day is Saturday. Bude town has supermarkets, independent cafes, and a regular farmers' market.
