The Smithy Cornwall

The Smithy Cornwall is a converted blacksmith's cottage near Truro, in the Carnon Downs area between the city and Falmouth. It sleeps 4 across 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - useful for a family or two couples sharing. Dogs are welcome, and the cottage has a wood burner, EV charging point, parking and a private garden.

The wood burner and garden give the cottage a good base for cooler evenings after a day out. Exposed wooden beams and whitewashed stone walls run through the cottage, the lounge has a Smart TV, and the double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Wi-Fi is included in the stay.

Carnon Downs sits on the A39 between Truro and Falmouth, with the National Trust's Trelissick Garden about 2 miles away and the Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek a similar distance. The King Harry Ferry crosses the Fal nearby, giving quicker access to the Roseland side and St Mawes, 4.5 miles off. Castle Beach is 4.8 miles, Gyllyngvase Beach 5.2 miles and Swanpool Beach 5.5 miles.

**Best for:** a family or two couples wanting a dog-friendly forge cottage with EV charging and easy reach of Trelissick Garden and the Roseland. **Less good for:** guests who need confirmed step-free access.
