The Summerhouse

The Summerhouse is a 6-bedroom group house on Roserrow Estate between Polzeath and St Minver, sleeping 12 across 2 king-size rooms with en-suites, 2 en-suite twin rooms, 1 ground-floor double with roll-top bath, and 1 further twin. Five bathrooms serve the six bedrooms. The kitchen has an American-style fridge/freezer, a steam oven, and a dining table for 12, which makes it a practical choice for large groups who want to self-cater properly rather than rely on restaurants. A large patio with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ connects to the lawn. Dogs are welcome.

Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine, and parking are included. The estate has neighbouring properties, which means the setting is shared rather than fully secluded.

Polzeath Beach is 1.9km - a north-facing surf beach with two surf schools operating in summer, a beach cafe, and surf hire. Daymer Bay is 2.1km, a sheltered estuary inlet on the Camel that's calmer for families with young children and non-swimmers. The Rock ferry crossing is accessible from Daymer Bay and gives pedestrian access to Padstow across the estuary, where the restaurants and the Camel Trail start.

Best for large family groups or extended families of up to 12 who need enough bathrooms to avoid morning queues, a kitchen that can handle cooking for the full group, and outdoor space for evenings. The bedroom configuration - with multiple en-suites and one ground-floor double - suits multi-generational groups well. Less suited for groups wanting a remote rural retreat, as the estate has other properties nearby and Polzeath village is a short walk.

St Minver village is about 1.5km and has a pub. Wadebridge is 7km for supermarkets.
