The View

The View is a ground-floor, one-bedroom apartment at Chy-an-Porth on The Terrace in St Ives, sleeping 2 with an enclosed garden to the rear. Dogs are welcome, and the enclosed garden makes this a practical choice for guests travelling with a pet. Parking, a dishwasher, and Wi-Fi are included.

Porthminster Beach is 300m - a south-facing sandy cove with a beach cafe and relatively calm water compared to Porthmeor on the north side. The harbour beach is 500m, and Porthmeor - the main surfing beach - is 800m. St Ives centre is compact enough that all three beaches are reachable on foot from the apartment within 15 minutes.

The Terrace road runs along the southern edge of town and is a short walk from the Tate St Ives gallery, the harbour, and the main cluster of restaurants and shops. The Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden is roughly the same distance.

The Terrace itself is a residential road with a mix of houses and apartments, quieter than the streets around the harbour and market area but still walkable to both. In the evening, Porthminster Beach is particularly quiet as visitors tend to head back into town from the north side.

Best for a couple travelling with a dog who want to be within walking reach of both the beaches and the town centre without hiring a car. Not the right fit for anyone expecting more than 2 guest capacity or a property without accessibility features. 74 previous guest reviews. Saturday changeover.
